Its very easy to create an AWS account. You should have an email account(preferred personal email). Firstly you have to go to aws home page. This will open a page similar to the one showed in the above image. Click on ‘Create an AWS Account’ button which is placed on the top right corner of the page. This will open the a page as below.
Enter your personal email address as ‘Root user email address’ (This will be used to login to your account later) and select an AWS account name that can be anything that you prefer. You will be able to change this even after account creation. After entering these 2 details click on ‘Verify email address’ button. Once you click on this button, you will get an email and complete the email verification as described in the email. After verifying the email successfully, you will be directed to the next page where you have to create a password for your root account. Page will be similar to the image shown below.
You have to remember the root password (If you forget then you can use your email address to recover password.). Once you enter and confirm the root password, click on ‘Continue’ button.
On the next page you have to fill your personal information like address, phone number etc (as shown below).
Next, you have to enter credit or debit card details and you will get an authorization of $1 onto this credit card. This is not a charge and its pending transaction. This is just an authorization that will be cancelled. As long as you remain within the Free Tier, you will not be charged. But if you go over the Free Tier, then you will be charged.
After that step, you must confirm your identity by providing a phone number and then receiving either SMS or voice call to confirm the phone number.
Then you need to select a support plan. You can select ‘Basic Support-Free’ (This is free).
Then click on ‘Complete sign up’ button and congratulations you are signed up for AWS. It will take a few minutes to activate your account and you’ll receive an email when this is complete. In the meantime, you can click on go to the AWS Management Console. You must enter your root user email address and your password, and then you are logged in into the AWS Console.
